Excerpt reads:
“We just want to enable young gay people know that they can have something to look forward to when they get old,” Phil said to me on the second-floor deck of their American Foursquare on Detroit’s West side, one of the greatest prides of their 50-year association. “We’ve seen so many people destroy themselves — with liquor, with drugs, with sex — because they mind they didn’t possess anything to exist for.”
“Here we are!” Mike exclaims, suddenly, between puffs of his joint, “Two old Black queens!”

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2: Curtis and Yancy Queer Hack

So a brief while ago, I thought “Wouldn’t it be cool if Rosa could meet Yancy and Nate could date Curtis?  Would that not be a gentle thing?” and despite knowing literally nothing about romhacking enjoy a week ago, this happened?  Somehow??  It’s a beautiful simple romhack that swaps Curtis and Yancy’s characters with some small edits to their dialogue to get rid of the resulting protag-misgendering.  Now you can finally be gay in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 if you so desire.

Hello! I’m trying to flesh out a fanfiction nature of mine, especially their family. It’s very much a work in progress, but so far I think that they (and their younger sibling) will be adopted by two gay men after their biological parents are killed in a car accident. Their biological parents would have been very shut friends of the adoptive couple, and that’s a pretty big reason as to why they adopted Bailey and their brother. I was thinking the adoptive couple will be a black man and a white man, and I was wondering if there are any tropes/stereotypes I should avoid when writing about a homosexual black man, specifically a black men who’s married to a white gentleman and who has light kids? I’ve looked through a lot of the tags on here and I’ve done a scant google searches about tropes to avoid, but I haven’t found much that’s helpful with this specific situation. Bailey is going to be the main character, and while their parents are not going to play a massive role in the story, I don’t want to portray their parent(s) in a racist way when they do appear. So basically, do you possess any good links/research starting points/tips for me? Than
