New gay shows

Well my friends, it is June, which means it’s time for networks to prove how much they care about us through creating new LGBTQ+ programming, and I don’t denote just creating a “Voices of Pride” section on their primary interface that houses all the Queer movies in their catalog as well as television they made and cancelled in the past.

Most importantly is that there will be a new season of The Ultimatum: Lgbtq+ Love, and that will make everything else okay! Furthermore, I am recapping And Just Like That… so if you delight in witty captions, be sure to check that out.

Ginny & Georgia // Season Three // June 5
Georgia faces a murder trial in the third season of Ginny & Georgia, which’ll push her daughter Ginny “to the limits.” Her queer friend Max (played by Sara Waisglass) is returning and furthermore, agender actor Noah Lamanna plays Tris, a non-binary skateboarder who is very smart.

Olympo // Season One // June 20
This modern Netflix series follows a group of elite swimmers as they struggle to reach the top while wearing their swimsuits and being s

You know what they say — April flowers bring May television shows with lesbian, bisexual and queer women and/or trans characters. But do they? Successfully, in May of 2025 I would actually say, “yeah, actually, they kinda do.” There’s a lot to be stoked about this month, so let’s get into it!

Bet: Season One // May 15
Netflix’s live-action (and English-language) adaptation of the manga series Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler finds a modern student Yumeko at a gambling-focused elite boarding school packed of evil children, intent on carrying out a covert mission. There’s a lot of homoeroticism in the series, as well as two main characters, RiRi and Mary, who are queer.

Big Mouth: Season 8 // May 23
In its ultimate season, this queer-inclusive animated series will see its kids “step into the harrowing unknown of the future, made less afraid of what’s to arrive because they own each other.” Lgbtq+ actor Cynthia Erivo joins the voice cast playing the role of “Missy’s Vagina.” Ayo Edebiri plays Missy. SO that will be neat!

The Greatest LGBT Films and TV Shows of 2024

Look over the menagerie of LGBT movies and TV shows released in 2024 carefully enough, and you’ll discover as many hidden gems as you will worsening cracks. In others words, there’s good news and bad news — but in the year’s overall striking lineup, also a glimmer of hope.

On the small screen, the seemingly unending aftermath of the streaming bubble burst from 2022 saw the “Cancel Your Gays” trend push forward as LGBT series ended abruptly, and fewer projects were green lit to take their place. Stand-up comedy specials, particularly those at Netflix, continued to platform contradictory political voices with hugely disparate views about human rights — which created some bizarre situations, for excellent and for bad.

There have been reported declines in onscreen gender non-conforming representation across film too, albeit not as stark as those impacting actors on television. Still, looking back at a year that included several remarkable triumph stories from throughout queer cinema, the silver screened side of the industry certainly seems more hopeful heading into the novel year.

All You Need: The New Gay Berlin TV Show and 3 More Homosexual Shows to Watch

When I look around the TV landscape of recent years I feel quite happy that there are so many shows right now representing LGBTQIA+ people and issues, and that they are no longer just minor storylines of side characters but they’ve also develop the center of attention. When I grew up the only show there was Queer As Folk and not much else in the decades after, so no matter if you liked it or not, it was a must-watch and peak for gay guys at the time.

To see a fully gay show as the first thing on the main page of the ARD Mediathek (German’s major public TV channel) felt really good today, I have to state. I was half expecting they would hide it somewhere in the archive and you would have to look for for it, but no, it’s attractive in your deal with. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think All You Need really is the first German TV exhibit exclusively dealing with gay men as the main characters and getting such a prime identify. And I believe the show really deserves to be put in the limelight – it’s a great-looking exhibit, with likable characters and a strong
