Hi anon, I don’t have quite the same level of obsessive interest in Jim as I do for the bug boys, so I don’t consider myself really well informed on his biography. He never stated that he was attracted to both genders, so there’s that. As for speculation post-death - there’s been plenty. Not quite to John Lennon levels, but I get the feeling that many fans wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that Jim had experimented.

From what I accumulate, biographer Stephen Davis has been the main person to push the theory that Jim had sexual encounters with women and men.

Bandmate and friend Ray Manzarek responded to the claims by saying: “I don’t recognize the Jim Morrison he writes about. There are some things that are true. Why the guy wrote this book I acquire no idea unless he wanted to get into that supposed bisexual operation himself. It’s Freudian.”
