Star of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Randy Fenoli, shares his retain love story and wedding plans.

A buzz hums through the air at Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan, with the occasional scream of “YES!” piercing through the air. The salon is setting for TLC's famous Say Yes to the Dressreality show, which has followed thousands of soonlyweds during their dress-shopping encounter over the show's 15-year run.

And bopping around this hive of tulle and lace is Randy Fenoli, whom I have dubbed the bridal whisperer. “I can just watch at a bride, and say, ‘I have your dress,'” he explains, before launching into multiple jaw-dropping stories of pulling dream dresses off the rack without so much as a measurement. And while Fenoli clearly has a knack for selecting the winning outfit, it's because he's perfected this proficiency over the years. Thirty years, to be exact.

When my fiancee and I got engaged, the first thing my son said to me was, “we have to go to Yes to the Dress!” I promised him that the next time we went to New York, we would absolutely schedule a trip to Kleinfeld Bridal, the home of Say Yes to the Dress.

I’ve been watching Say Yes to the Dress since it premiered back in 2007. I’ve always been obsessed with weddings and all that goes into them, and I affection low-stakes drama, so a show enjoy SYTTD is flawless. It’s a investigation in the human condition, and there’s a lot of really pretty dresses to look at. What’s not to love? As one of TLC’s most popular shows, it was always on, and over period it became one of my comfort shows. I legit signed up for Discovery+ just so I could survey SYTTD because I had watched the limited amount of episodes available on Hulu a million times and was bored. As a result, my kiddo became as enamored with the Kleinfeld crew as I was. My fiancee has also been subjected to watching the show ad nauseam, and now she has judgments and favorites as well.

Say Yes to the Dress star Randy Fenoli is used to hearing wedding bells chime, but soon enough he’ll be hearing his own.

Fenoli, a wedding dress designer and former Kleinfeld Bridal fashion director, has officially proposed to his partner of nearly a year, Mete Kobal.

On Instagram, Fenoli, 58, confirmed the romantic news, writing, “YES! It’s Official! We’re Engaged!!”

He shared a photo of him and Kobal in matching blue suede suits, sporting their brand-new silver engagement bands.

“We’re so in love! Thank you so much!” Fenoli wrote on Instagram.

'Say Yes to the Dress' luminary Randy Fenoli is engaged

"Say Yes to the Dress" star Randy Fenoli is going from bridal support to groom.

Fenoli, 58, proposed to his partner Mete Kobal on Saturday, as he distributed on Instagram. 

The reality TV celestial body and designer asked Kobal to marry him at Marmara Park Avenue in New York, where Kleinfeld Bridal is located, according to Instagram.

According to People, Marmara is where the couple first met in January 2022, as Kobal was the hotel's block and restaurant manager at the time.

Fenoli proposed in front of 50 of the couple's friends and family members, and he arranged for Kobal's loved ones in Turkey to watch via Zoom, as People reported.

Marcy Blum planned the elaborate offer, Mixed Greens Event Design provided decor, and On The Maneuver Entertainment was the entertainment for the evening. Clane Gessel photographed the proposal.
