Gus Kenworthy is gay

Gus Kenworthy
I am gay.

Wow, it feels excellent to write those words. For most of my experience, I’ve been terrified to embrace that truth about myself. Recently though, I’ve gotten to the point where the pain of holding onto the lean is greater than the fear of letting go, and I’m very confident to finally be letting my guard down.

My sexuality has been something I’ve struggled to come to terms with. I’ve established I was queer since I was a kid but growing up in a town of 2,000 people, a class of 48 kids and then turning pro as an athlete when I was 16, it just wasn’t something I wanted to accept. I pushed my feelings away in the hopes that it was a passing phase but the thought of organism found out kept me up at night. I constantly felt anxious, low and even suicidal.

Looking support, it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come. For so much of my life I’ve dreaded the diurnal that people would find out I was gay. Now, I couldn’t be more excited to tell you all the truth. Maybe you’ve suspected that truth about me all along, or maybe it comes as a fulfill shock to you. Either way, it’s important for me

Gus Van Sant and My Own Private Idaho – LGBT History Month 2022

In the run up to summer of 1992 whilst taking a break from A Level English revision, I went with a friend to see a then relatively unknown clip called My Own Confidential Idaho. I had been expecting some light relief after many hours spent learning quotes from Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part One, but was surprised instead to discover that the film was a remake of the very alike play. However, my other discovery was far more revealing to me – that a whole recent queer world was out there which felt enjoy home.

Gus Van Sant is the director of My Own Private Idaho. He is an American independent filmmaker who represents people on the margins who don’t quite fit in. He is also male lover and has made a huge contribution to homosexual representation in film. Some of his films investigate gay identities explicitly in all of their diversity, whilst others are more subtle and change the way we look at the male characters on screen.

His most openly queer films include My Control Private Idaho, which stars Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix as rent boys falling in and out of love, and Milk, an emotional biopic of gay rights activist Harvey Milk. Howev

Soooo.......What about Gus?!

Quote bghwme: I liked Chris. I now have a new boss who is just like him!LOL He even looks a little love him. Fun, fun.

I don’t think Gus is gay. I think he is a Gigolo as defined:

Gigolos are handsome, cultured men who receive money, housing and other favors from a rich, older woman. A gigolo differs from a male escort because a gigolo tends to form an emotional bond with his benefactress over time. Gigolos are the male version of the “trophy wife.” They are chosen as a partner by a moneyed woman because of their looks or charm, not true love.

(I think Gus likes Chloe.)

As for Will being Queer, I don’t think so. I think he is just trying to be good friend to Chad.

I had a best ally since grade school. We were very close. When we were little we held hands and stuff like little girls carry out. Our friendship continued into upper school. It was very frequent for us to hug each other in greeting or in wishing each other well, etc. We spent a lot of time together. So much in fact, that the boys were very cautious about asking either of us for a meet because they thought we were “a couple!” LOL
